Our Team

Edric Yi Guo is the Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Investment Banking Division at Univest Securities. Mr. Guo is recognized as one of the most active and versatile investment bankers, with a strong client base across both Asia Pacific and North America.

With over 15 years of experience in banking and capital markets, Mr. Guo has led transactions totaling over $1 billion, including private placements, initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings, registered direct offerings, SPACs, and mergers & acquisitions.

Since joining Univest, Mr. Guo has transformed the firm into a full-service global banking and distribution platform, encompassing investment banking, equity and debt capital markets, institutional and high-net-worth retail sales and trading, and research.

He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Real Estate from the University of British Columbia, and maintains FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 66, 79, and 99 registrations.

Graduated from Albany University in New York, Mr. Richmond has extensive experience in investment banking, institutional sales and trading. Prior to joining Univest, Mr. Richmond worked at Westpark Capital as a Managing Director and at Newport Coast Securities as a Managing Director of sales for the agency. Between 2009 and 2011, he also served as the Vice President of Institutional Sales at the then-popular U.S. investment bank Rodman & Renshaw. Mr. Richmond maintains FINRA Series 7, 14, 24, 55, 57, 63, and 79 licenses.

Scarlett obtained her Master’s degree of Integrated Marketing from New York University, and her Bachelor's degree of Finance from Seton Hall University, the Stillman School of Business. She is experienced in client management, private sales tractions, and stock trading. She maintains FINRA Series 4, 7, 27, and 63 licenses.

Mr. Ge is a Managing Director of the Investment Banking Department at Univest. Mr. Ge has more than 10 years of experience as a securities, capital markets, and corporate attorney. His practice focused on public offerings, private financing transactions, M&A transactions, securities law compliance, and corporate governance. He has extensive experience with structuring and executing various capital markets transactions including IPOs, uplists, follow-on offerings, registered direct offerings, CMPOs, at-the-market offerings, PIPEs, debt offerings, SPACs (both IPOs and deSPACs), equity line transactions, and cross-border securities offerings. Prior to joining Univest, Mr. Ge was a senior associate at the law firms of Goodwin Procter LLP, Sullivan Worcester LLP, and Ellenoff Grossman & Schole LLP.

Mr. Ge maintains FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Mr. Madison joined Univest Securities, LLC in 2020. Prior to Univest, Mr. Madison served as Director of Equity Capital Markets at Aegis Capital Corp., where he helped facilitate in excess of one billion in capital markets transactions as Lead Manager, Co-Manager or Syndicate Member. His experience in Capital Markets allows him to deliver high-quality strategic advice and investment solutions to his institutional clients globally. His focus has been primarily on raising capital for small and micro-cap private/public companies, investing in Initial Public Offerings, Follow-on Offerings, and Private Placements. Mr. Madison began his career on Wall Street working on the Interest Rates Sales and Trading desk at Cantor Fitzgerald. Mr. Madison maintains FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Quinn is a seasoned investment banker with Univest Securities, where she has been a key contributor since 2019. With experience in transactions exceeding $1 billion across a diverse range of financial vehicles, she specializes in the APAC region as one of the firm’s lead bankers. Quinn plays a pivotal role in executing and underwriting IPOs, Private Placements, Follow-on Offerings, and Registered Directs. Fluent in both English and Chinese, Quinn obtained her Series 24 license in 2023, allowing her to oversee and supervise the investment banking department. Prior to joining Univest, she gained extensive experience across Equity Research, Wealth Management, and Risk Management at various financial institutions. Quinn maintains FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations.  

Mr. Zhang started his career at HSBC and UBS. Mr. Zhang has extensive experience in Wealth Management and Capital Markets operations before co-founding and leading U.S. Micron Capital in 2018. Since joining the investment banking department at Univest, Mr. Zhang has been responsible for the development and penetration of Univest’s Asia-Pacific capital markets platform. Mr. Zhang earned his BA from Syracuse University and his MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He maintains FINRA Series 7 registrations.

With over a decade of success in the financial industry, Mr. Nesimi is a high-energy, team-oriented professional with a keen eye for identifying investment opportunities. His extensive experience in managing sales teams has refined his leadership skills and his ability to drive results through collaboration and strategic execution. Throughout his career on Wall Street, Mr. Nesimi has primarily focused on serving ultra-high-net-worth retail clients. He has built a strong reputation for exceeding expectations and consistently delivering value to investors. Now bringing his expertise and passion to Univest, Mr. Nesimi is proud to be part of an organization that champions innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Nesimi is a devoted family man who values the importance of work-life balance. He maintains FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Mr. Zheng is a Vice President in Investment Banking at Univest Securities, with deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, and capital raising across both private and public markets. He is trilingual in Chinese, English, and Japanese. Prior to joining Univest, Mr. Zheng held roles in venture capital, private equity, and M&A. Mr. Zheng earned his Master’s degree in Enterprise Risk Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Zheng maintains FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Charles joined Univest Securities in 2020. As Vice President in the Capital Markets Division, he is responsible for the execution of financings including IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, CMPOs, PIPEs and Registered Direct offerings. Prior to Univest, he was an Account Executive at Aegis Capital for seven years. Charles studied at Holderness School in New Hampshire and Fordham University in New York City. He maintains FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Evie obtained her Master’s degree in Business Management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in May 2019. She also holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Communications from Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Univest Securities, Evie worked as a marketing specialist at New Oriental Education & Technology Group during college and gained valuable experience at China Everbright Bank in Beijing. She brings extensive expertise in business management, operations, investor relations, capital markets, public relations, and human resources. With a strong cross-disciplinary background and international perspective, Evie is known for her strategic mindset, executional excellence, and ability to drive organizational growth across diverse sectors. Evie maintains FINRA Series 7 and 99 registrations.

Hubert Chung is a Vice President in Investment Banking at Univest Securities, where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions and strategic advisory across a broad range of sectors. Prior to joining Univest, Hubert was an Investment Banking Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Jefferies. He also brings experience in management consulting and corporate development, advising Fortune 500 clients on growth strategy, transaction execution, and capital structure matters. Hubert earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a recipient of the Booth 1898 Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University and maintains FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.

Viola is a Market Research Analyst with experience in market analysis and operations within financial services firms. She brings a background in finance and marketing analytics, along with hands-on experience in financial and firm-level operations. Her industry experience includes financial services, food supply chain, and trading. Viola holds an MS in Integrated Marketing from New York University and a BS in Finance from the University of San Francisco. Viola maintains a FINRA Series 99 license.
