Univest Securities CEO Edric Yi Guo Shares Buy-Side Insights at ORY APAC-US Conference 2025

October 24, 2025

SINGAPORE, JULY 08. 2025 – At the third-annual ORY APAC-US Conference 2025 (held July 8–9 at Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island in Singapore), Edric Yi Guo, CEO of Univest Securities, was invited as a panel speaker for the session titled “Market Mind Games: Buy-Side Insights into Investor Behaviour.” The conference, co-hosted by Nasdaq, Inc. and the law firm Ortoli Rosenstadt, brings together emerging growth companies, institutional investors, research analysts, and global capital-markets professionals to explore cross-border strategies and U.S. capital-market access from the APAC region.

During his remarks, Edric focused on the sequences following a public offering on how companies can engage institutional investors, work with research analysts, and execute non-deal roadshows in partnership with investment banks. Furthermore, he offered practical perspectives on how to navigate the cycle from the initial listing through ongoing public-company investor relations. Specifically, he highlighted two core attributes that in his view distinguish successful public companies and investments. Firstly, Edric talked about how having strong communication and storytelling skills is crucial for building investor confidence and effectively conveying a company’s vision and value to the market. He emphasized that attracting and retaining investor interest is not just about numbers and filings but shaping a narrative that resonates, clarifies vision, and engages stakeholders. Secondly, Edric spoke on the importance of staying within defined performance ranges, maintaining regular updates to research analysts and media, pursuing a disciplined cadence of disclosure and engagement. Despite the fact that the cumulative effect of consistency might not be immediately apparent, over time this builds credibility and long-term attraction.

At the same time, Edric also addressed technology and market trends. He described blockchain technology and cryptocurrency as transformative forces by pointing out that companies that merely hold cryptocurrencies without deploying them actively are akin to “having a pile of gold sitting in the garage doing nothing.” Again. he suggested that Univest is looking to partner with companies that can leverage such assets productively. In addition, he discussed how social media can serve as a double-edged sword by broadening a company’s reach, strengthening brand engagement but also present risks that require careful management. Overall, Edric’s insights at the ORY Conference reinforced Univest Securities’ commitment to innovation and long-term value creation, positioning the firm as a forward-thinking partner for growth companies navigating global capital markets amid expanding APAC–U.S. investment flows and rapid technological transformation.
